Lindsey Komson is a third-year student at Quinnipiac University, double majoring in Communications/Media Studies and Graphic & Interactive Design. She is a part of the 3+1 Accelerated Dual-Degree program at the University, meaning she will receive her bachelor’s degrees after three years and her master’s degree after her fourth year.

She chose her graduate program, Interactive Media & Communications, because it’s the perfect combination of both her undergraduate majors, and it allows her to further develop her skills in media and design. Lindsey has worked on several important projects so far during her graduate studies, but the most rewarding one was her white paper on the modern workplace. She conducted research, wrote the copy, and designed graphics and page layout for the final product.

Lindsey has completed multiple internships throughout her time in college. She was a design & social media intern during the summers of 2021 & 2022, and a web design intern in the fall of 2022 for The Design & Branding Company. This past summer, she worked as a Digital Marketing Intern at Tasty Brands, LLC, revamping their social media and designing numerous promotional materials. Currently, Lindsey works at the Quinnipiac University Office of Marketing & Communications as a Social Media Assistant. She creates content primarily for the @quadmissions Instagram account, but also for a few other university channels.

After graduation, Lindsey would like to work in digital marketing, ideally within the sports industry. Digital marketing allows her to apply her skills in social media, content creation, and graphic design to boost a company or industry’s online presence. She hopes to work in the sports industry as that is where her passions lie, but she is able and excited to contribute her skills to any industry as showcased by her past jobs and internships.

The intended audiences for her blog are current and former students in the Interactive Media & Communications program, as well as potential employers in the media industry. As a student nearing graduation, it’s important for employers to view her writing skills and be aware of her name. Lindsey looks forward to continuing her blog this semester and throughout the rest of her graduate studies. She hopes that her readers are inspired by her content and that they learn something new each week.
